The Word of God, the Holy Bible, says that God has shut up all men under sin that He might show mercy on all. The system of doing good works to earn our way to heaven no longer works and is like “filthy rags” in God’s sight.  Only Jesus’ shed blood, His perfect life for your imperfect life, can erase your sins and offer you eternal life (eternity with God) as a free gift, when you place your trust in Jesus alone to save you.
